Hugo Chavez in Avatar!

He could have done something close to or better than what Dubai has done to itself but because of corruption, ignorance, arrogance, etc. he ended a rich country's diplomacy, caused thousands upon thousands of deaths, and now Venezuela is on the road to destruction.

Nice job Chavez!

DESBARATAR*

He had the opportunity to construct a new republic and leave his mark. But thanls to corruption, incapacity, violating human rights, egotism, uncontrollable ambition for power, the opration has been disrupted...

He prefered to follow the path of his wise friend Aristobulo Isutriz and
DESBARATAR* eveything in his path,
including his people's faith who had believed in him...

Apple's iPad has done it for Google Chrome's tablet

Simple concept video and still way more exciting than Apple's iPad. For all it was talked about, Apple failed miserably at delivering a jaw-dropping product. This is why I think it will set the stage for Google Chrome's tablet even bigger. Apple has set the bar so low that even if Google just remakes the iPad and adds multi-tasking and a camera, users will be happy. Obviously, knowing Google, it will exceeds everyone's expectations.

Thoughts? @io6

iPad might actually succeed

The iPad, the device from Apple the internet has been talking about for months now. Revealed January 27, 2010. Most were greatly disappointed. At first, most saw nothing in the 'revolutionary' iPad. Why? Simply because it's not what we expected. We expected some sort of device that would replace desktop computers and laptops alike. Well that's not what Steve Jobs was aiming for. As he explained the specs and features of the iPad he also mentioned this was a third category between computer and cell phone/smart phone. The big question is: Is there a need for this device?

Only the numbers will tell. But I predict they nailed it. A device to have in your living room, outdoors, patio etc. To simply browse, listen to music, play games, use as an e-reader and with the 120,000 plus apps Apple has just from the phone, entretaiment in your hands. What other device fulfils those needs?

Laptop/computers: too uncomfortable and too complex for simple browsing, music, games, e-books.

Cell phones/smart phones: way too far behind to have a good browsing/gaming/reading experience.

Conclusion:
Apple does it again. This time not by revolutionising an industry but by creating a brand new category of devices.

Walmart Ad

What the fuck?
Walmart, the American public Corp with a net income of 11.2 billion dollars, has this for an ad? I mean, it is funny. I've watched it a couple of times but what the fuck? Who are you going for? Sure adults will find it funny but there is no way this is how you reach out to all of your potential customers. A lot being under age.

Google vs Chinese Government

Recentlt, Google decided to stop censoring results for the Chinese Google search engine as a results of highly sophisticated attacks that (as Google believes) have orginated in China. Google was censoring content from political views, porn, or any objective content.

It was only 4 years ago when they agreed to censor this information and go into the worlds biggest web market. Some 360 million users (only China). They have been critized endlesly ever since but now they are under the scope. Everyone talks about how they did wrong and it's 'too late to do right'. I differ. It's never to late to do right, and it's hard to take a decision like that when you have stockholders and one of the world's biggest companies.

They now have Yahoo! and even the White House supporting them and they should have everyone elses to. They pulled out of a big portion of the market (not being able to do business anymore) to do the right. That's 3 thumbs up for me, thoughts?

Best Twitter app for BlackBerry devices

When I first got my blackberry it wasn't very long for me to find myself on google looking for my twitter app. I searched and found not as many choices as iPhone do but there were still choices. I went into a couple of forums and found many people with the same opinion, TwitterBerry (OpenBeak as it now called) is the best twitter client. I tried it and really, it sucked. It had most of the features I wanted but the UI really was not user friendly at all.

Anyways, reason behind this post it to tell all users of OpenBeak to make the change to UberTwitter. A real twitter client for BlackBerry devices (which has sold over 100,000 units a day for the past 3 months or so). If you try it out, which I know you'll love, leave a comment! http://www.ubertwitter.com

Facebook and it's privacy bullshit

When users signed up for a Facebook account (before 12/09) they had agreed to a private account. A web page where they would share an endless stream of very personal information with people they actually knew or at least accepted their 'friendship'. Now Facebook decides to change all that. Instead of having private as your default PRIVACY setting, public is your new default. Obviously, you can change this back to the way it was but let's get real about this. Not everyone bothers to change not because it may be hard or they don't care, it's because they don't know what this is all about.
Yes, yes. Facebook did warn them but hey! Why are the majority still using IE instead of Fire Fox or Google Chrome? Simply because it's their default browser. See where I'm going here?

Now why would Facebook even want to do this? .. This planet revolves around money. When you have a user base of over 300 million and investors breathing down your neck, it is kind of hard to remember right from wrong.

Who would want all this information of all these people posting everything from photos to videos to what they're doing every moment of their lives? The big guys. Yup, Bing and Google (search engines). Now anyone can look up your name and get instant access to you. Creepy isn't it?
